Well, dear readers…IT HAPPENED! The movie, based on my Tule Publishing book THE CHRISTMAS WISH wrapped filming in Vancouver, Canada for Hallmark Movies and Mysteries! I’m still kind of pinching myself. I was fortunate enough to get to go to the set and visit with my daughter to meet the actors and watch the filming. It was so fun seeing my characters come to life and scenes that I’d written right there, touchable, smelling like Christmas! The film (Now titled HOLIDAY HEARTS) will air on Saturday, NOVEMBER 23, 2019 on HALLMARK MOVIES AND MYSTERIES CHANNEL at 9pm/8c, starring the hilarious and lovely (both of them!) ASHLEY WILLIAMS and PAUL CAMPBELL.
Everyone couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. We spent a couple of days on the set where we were sworn to secrecy about the sets and all the details because we all want you to be happily surprised when it premiers. But let me just say this: You will not be disappointed by this film! The director and cinematographer and executive producer were brilliant and I had chills running up and down my arms at one scene in particular. Well, to be honest, all of them. But I made up all these crazy people in my head and that’s what happens when you see them actually talk out loud.
Here’s a couple shots of me wandering the park and the set where we shot in Vancouver. This was in Stanley Park, where we filmed. The park is an actual rainforest inside of the city.
And my daughter and me exploring Vancouver:
So please make sure you tune in and if you’re so inclined, Tweet, Instagram or FB your good thoughts on this movie the night of using the #HOLIDAY HEARTS. It all really helps Hallmark figure out what people are liking. And if you haven’t read the book, THE CHRISTMAS WISH, and would like to before, it’s available everywhere and also on the Tule Publishing website.
IN OTHER IMPORTANT NEWS:
Eh-hem. This would actually made the top of the page on any other month, but the movie…
But DRUMROLL….I have a new book coming out!! On November 18th!
EVERY TIME A BELL RINGS is a stand alone Christmas book that’s full of warmth and humor and second chances, complete with a little boy, a dog and a not so perfect angel who has a little feather-shedding problem.
I loved writing this book so much and isn’t the cover adorable? It’s available for PRE-ORDER now and will drop on November 18th everywhere.
