Thanks for stopping by! I write books about finding love, humor and second chances in everyday life. There’s kissing involved. But more than that, I’m fascinated with the sometimes random, always complicated, connections we make with family, friends and the ones we choose as family. Whether you’re looking for a quirky contemporary story or an emotional, historical adventure set in the Wild West, in my books you’ll find heroes that will steal your heart and the heroines who love them. Enjoy!
It’s back to school time for everyone, when the weather starts to cool and the humidity seeps away from the crisp fall air. Oh, I love this time of year and wish I could bottle it. But winter is coming. (to borrow a phrase from G.O.T.) <<Don’t think about it.>> But it’s also time for me to spend with the littlest grandbaby, Amelia, at places like The Farm, feeding goats.
You might ask, after reading my latest book, (which has a goat yoga scene) do I have a thing for goats? Um, yes. Yes, I do. Don’t you?
Anyway, with the kids back in school, there’s more time for curling up with books, so that’s always a plus! So here’s what up now for me.
My latest, ROAD TO YOU, in the Band of Brothers series, is available now. And I have to thank my sweet readers for the great reviews. I hope you enjoy this twist on ROMAN HOLIDAY (mixed with a little BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S) with a couple that kind of breaks your heart in a really good way. Can you tell I’m a classic movie lover? This one is the elusive Noah Mathis’s story, and I hope you fall in love with him as I did. Certainly, Gemma Wade does. But all is not as it seems in this tale of love. You’ll have to read it to find out why.
“I loved, loved, loved Road to You by Barbara Ankrum, book two in her Band of Brothers series…I totally loved these characters and didn’t want to put this book down. I especially loved the comparison and parallels to the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Ms. Ankrum did a fantastic job creating her characters, making them realistic, keeping the story interesting, making me forget the world around me and not letting me go until I turned the last page, wanting more.” Five Stars, Amazon Reviewer, Eileen Wells.
Now this is going to be a little weird, but I have a book coming up next that is going to shake up the order for my Band of Brothers series. It will be the new Book 1 in the series which is also getting a whole new look in 2019. The titles and the covers are changing. (They are smokin’ Alpha covers!) This Book 1 is a revised version of a book that was a previously published Kindle World book about Trey Reyes’s older brother, Nio Reyes. I’ve added another 11k words to this story to bring it into this series that it was crying out to be part of and I hope you enjoy it. That book will be out this January and it will be called “Unsung Hero.” Did you follow all that?
SOME EXCITING NEWS!! (Update)
I’m thrilled to say I signed a film contract on my 3rd Canadays of Montana book, THE CHRISTMAS WISH, for a cable-TV movie and it’s officially moved into production! I think we may have to wait another year to see it on the screen, but that’s pretty much all I’m allowed to share at this point and…you know, it’s Hollywood. So I’m keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed. But getting this far is such a thrill! I’ll definitely keep you up to date on the happenings there.
